Danny Martin, PhD
Danny is a theologian with an emphasis in Ecology. He has been a lifelong practitioner of Dialogue and an entrepreneur in this field. Danny began this work as a Catholic priest in Kenya and continued to develop the method as a Religious Advisor to the UN Environment Program. In this role, he helped create a process to engage the religions of the world in the environmental cause. After completing his Ph.D. under the tutelage of Thomas Berry (a pioneer in the work of environment and theology), Danny founded a non-profit with the mission of developing an Earth Charter for the 1992 UN Earth Summit. Later he brought Dialogue to institutions such as the CDC, the American Heart Association, and others, including Jefferson Memorial Hospital where Mindfulness was added to the method. Mindfulness-Dialogue has been widely used by groups and organizations to assist in leadership development, team building, and groups and organizations to assist in leadership development, team building, andgroups and organizations to assist in leadership development, team building, and cultural enhancement. Danny grew up in Northern Ireland and resides now in Cross River, NY.
Carlos Monteagudo, MD, MPH
Carlos has been a social entrepreneur for more than 20 years, and a practicing psychiatrist in public hospitals since 1988. In 2002, after a Kellogg National Leadership Fellowship, he cofounded SEED (www.seedimpact.org), which creates tools and supports nonprofits and government agencies in community organizing, leadership, and organizational development using Mindfulness-Dialogue style techniques. In 2014, Carlos founded SolarNation (www.solarnation.com) to apply these experiences and the tools of Mindfulness-Dialogue to the issue of climate change. Originally from Cuba, Carlos has Chicago roots and currently resides in Bloomfield, NJ.
